Dom systamatically cycled every street in Morzine, presenting daily to Steph his findings however still she found no street she preferred more.

Location

Described by our former neighbour as the ‘Bel Air’ of the area. The Route Des Granges, the road of Barns is a beautiful sunny spot, on a quiet road steeped in history and beautiful buildings. The former Mayor lives on our road and keeps it well. The chalet backs onto the mountain with a charming path that slowly winds it way up to the top or to the local supermarket.

The local bus connects us to the mountain (10 minutes), lake (5 minutes) or the village (5 minutes). Or a few 100m walk down to the valley floor and alongside the river to the village center or beyond into Morzine. It is for example less than 10 minutes to cycle alongside the river to the pool in Morzine alongside the river.

Montriond has a super local shop open year-round, a sports equipment shop and rental and a few great bars and restaurants too.

Testament to the street we have made an offer on a house a few doors down and are only looking to move as our circumstances have changed.

Chalet

One of the oldest barns on the street. Traditional thick stone walls keep the downstairs warm in winter and cool in summer. The open plan ground floor consists of an entrance, kitchen, tv area and dining area, a 2nd large lounge/sitting room with cinema screen, WC, larder/utility room, all seamlessly connect to the patio with outdoor kitchen and herb garden.

The second floor exposes some of the original carpentry, consisting of a hallway, ensuite master bedroom with large dressing room and very large storage area, ensuite guest bedroom with large storage area, then there are 2 bedrooms that shares a bathroom.

The master bedroom has a great view over the resort and mountains. The two second-floor bedrooms open up to the garden and vegetable planters. Renovated by a local stone mason, the concrete floor provides great sound insulation between the floors.

Outside there is a flat garden above the vegetable planters. A parking area for 3 cars, 2 undercover, a traditional Mazot for storage and further storage under the house.

Marketed by agents for €1,195,000, direct sale advantages to be had.
