If you are interested and feel that you can continue our legacies of “Chalets with the best chefs” – Food & Travel magazine & “Top 50 chalets in the Alps” – Telegraph, please get in touch.

Kindly note that we get many applications to join our team however we will always respond to you if your application is specific to why you want to work for us out of all the tour operators.

Why us?

We believe a Happy Team = Happy Guests! Once a week, in our meetings, we ask you if there is anything that we can do to help you achieve 6/5 happiness at work. Of course, you don’t have to wait until then to tell us!

As tour operators we are all here for different reasons. At Skiology, we are here because we believe in developing a better lifestyle which filters through our Morzine chalet job roles.

Company Culture | Our beliefs

Quite simply if we don’t care for our guests someone else will. Giving service with care is key to Skiology.

Making sure the needs of our guests are matched and sometimes going the extra mile.

In an ever-evolving industry if you stand still you get overtaken. As a brand we develop in line with guest feedback therefore having a welcoming attitude to feedback is ever important.

Team development is about setting goals and being accountable for achieving it which we will do in the weekly team meeting, you set a personal goal and we will set a work goal. Personal goals e.g go ice diving, are great for avoiding getting to the end of the season and trying to do all you had meant to do a season in the last week.

We welcome your feedback and believe that some of the best solutions and ideas are those that come out collaboratively with both guests and our team.

There is more than one way to be rich. We feel ski seasons offer an unrivalled work-life balance. You are up early, finish work before lunch and have until tea time to enjoy the mountains when you are back to work again. Work is genuine and rewarding creating, we find, an incomparable sense of life satisfaction. This sought after balance is what still drives us every day.

We will help you maximise your days, coaching you on how to finish work efficiently and like our guests, you will be fuelled with nutritionally balanced meals, quality non-discount produce and beyond organic wine at the end of the day.

Small team, global mission. We want to want have the smallest carbon footprint of any accommodation provider in the Alps and want you to be an ambassador for that.

We believe that we can all win, while you are on our team you can make a global difference. Any saving you can make from our budgets, we donate it to charity. Currently, Team Skiology supports over 1,000,000 square foot of rainforest and annually helps feeding children supported by Msizi Africa

We are part of a team and how we work affects one another.

We strive to build a strong bond by hiring people for our Morzine chalet jobs who share our values.

A winning team is more than just one person’s work and means being the best for the team, not necessarily the best in the team.

We are here to find you doing things right, give credit and act professionally and respectfully.

Our goal is to finish the season as strong as we start and not let little things become big things. For example, if you believe that something is unfair, call for a pit stop and let’s take time to correct it. From a brand point of view, fairness and equality is something really close to the Director’s hearts.

  • Deliver environmentally responsibly, in a way that is repeatable and allows the longest life of our product.
  • Have a passion for good food and its presentation.
  • Have a desire to prove yourself able to work autonomously/self-managing.

  1. Pick the perk which most appeals to you…
  2. Get the perk as soon as you’ve completed probation

FAQS: Morzine Chalet Jobs

Interview process

Step 1 : Qualifying call: If your application is successful, usually decided by a few emails back and forth, the qualifying call is when we will first speak with you. We quite simply ask you 3 questions, taking no more of 15 minutes of your time. We get hundreds of enquiries for our positions so you will be a very good candidate to get to this stage

Step 2 : Video call interview : Take part in a video call interview with another member of the management team. If one of the team has had a good hunch about you, then we pass it to another member to see if they agree.

Round 3 : Final phone call/video call/ references/ possible cook test : This is your final opportunity to shine! Ideally, we would love to meet you in person and make sure that everybody is happy to proceed however due to distance this is often not possible. If you are applying for a cooking position, there is a chance we will invite you for a cook test. There is then the formality of contacting your references and then pending references, you are onboard- welcome to the team!

When should I apply

Now 🙂 Recruiting the best team is one of the most important things we do so no need to delay. Generally, we start our recruitment drive at the end of February for the following winter for our Morzine chalet job roles. This is when we know which team members are returning to us however we do fill up quickly so best to apply sooner rather than later.

Do I need a work permit or visa?

For U.K applicants once you have accepted our job offer we will apply for a work permit for you. Once you have this you will be able to get a Visa.

Do I need to speak French?

In our Morzine chalet jobs, speaking French is not essential however it will add value to your season to immerse yourself in the language and we do expect our team to try and converse with our lovely suppliers in French.

Should I bring a vehicle?

Roles in our Morzine chalets will not require you to bring your own vehicle as a van will be provided in job roles which require transport. All team accommodation is either within the chalet or within short walking distance of your chalet and slopes.

Should you choose to bring your car, it cannot be parked in guest spaces at the chalet and it is hard to guarantee that your team accommodation will have allocated parking.

It is therefore your responsibility to find a safe and secure parking space for your vehicle during the winter season which is in line with local parking regulation. Let us know if you planning on bringing a vehicle and we can see if we can advise.

How will I get to and from resort?

Included in your package is return travel to and from Morzine. We budget €65 each way this typically covers air fare, 1 bag, ski/board bag and airport transfer (additional bags can be added at your cost). We offer air travel from 3 major airports but also encourage our team to travel by train from London to Switzerland. Not only is this more scenic but a lower carbon footprint compared to flying.

Sophie from Skiology HQ will contact you in the run up to the season to ascertain the best route of travel for you and to confirm the dates and bookings Skiology have made for you.

When does the season start and end?

In our Morzine chalet jobs, early December until late April is a general guide to start and end date. We however require the team to arrive 2 weeks ahead of our first guests arriving in resort in order to complete team training. Guest bookings typically start in the second week of December and runs until the end of April.

Departure from the resort is typically the end of April.

Do I need insurance?

You will need to secure your own personal travel insurance that will cover winter sports. As part of your package, we will provide you with a lift pass which has insurance which covers accidents on the mountain to get you off the mountain. Your cover will need to cover all other eventualities including ongoing healthcare, damage/loss of your property, accidents not on the slopes etc.

What is a typical day?

Breakfast Service: 8.00- 09.00: Your working day will begin at 7:15am , dressed and ready to go (earlier if it has snowed and a path needs to be cleared). Once at the chalet we tidy up the communal areas and prep for breakfast. Then we prepare hot drinks to take to the guests doors before we serve breakfast.

Breakfast almost all of the time is served at 08:00 however we do allow 30mins flexibility in either direction to suit our guest’s needs. During breakfast, if in a set menu chalet, boiled eggs and porridge are served every day plus a daily different hot option such as pancakes. We serve breakfast and prep for dinner. Once guests have left; the chalet clean down starts, servicing rooms, making and laying out afternoon tea etc. To begin with, you may finish around 12.00am but once you are in the swing of things, our team tend to finish around 11.00am.

Mountain Time: Shred the gnar!!! All that we ask is that when you arrive back off the mountain you are correctly dressed, in a state to work and in an area of un-compromisable hygiene (i.e showered).

Dinner Service: 19:30 pm: The guests will expect you to be at the chalet from 17:30- earlier if you’re serving children’s high tea. Then continue from the morning with your prep for dinner. Clear away afternoon tea and lay the table for dinner. Dinner service is 19:30, kids dinner is 18.00 if applicable. We encourage you to join your guests for meals if requested. The kitchen is cleaned down, dishwasher turned on, bins emptied, floor mopped and bid farewell to guests! Perhaps taking a jam jar of wine for the road.

Team Training

Whether you join us as a Chef or Chalet Manager, in our Morzine chalet job roles, you will participate in our extensive pre-season training programme in resort and remotely (via email/Facebook).

Our in-resort training and overall season set up is of a minimum of 10 days period.

This ensures that anyone who comes on board feels comfortable in their role and has the opportunity to get the right support they need before the season starts and our first guests arrive to resort. It is also a great and fun opportunity for everyone to get to know each other, as well as to become familiar with our chalets, values and the resort.
