Our Catered Chalets
in Morzine

Prime location catered chalets in Morzine town centre and close to the Prodains cable car.

Location, location, location…

catered chalets nestled in the heart of Morzine town centre

We have a range of well-located catered chalets in the historic town of Morzine to suit all needs and budgets. Sitting in the centre of Portes Du Soleil, the world’s largest ski area, Morzine is the perfect base for all your on-piste and off-piste adventures.

Our town centre catered chalet Grand Sapin is as central as can be. At just 240m from both of the main lifts, our town centre chalet offers easy access to the slopes as well as the apres-ski bars and restaurants of Morzine.

We also have catered chalets in Morzine’s Slate Valley. Chalets Atelier and Grand Hibou are within around 50 metres of each other in the sought-after area of Les Prodains. Les Prodains has been developed due to the quick access to Avoriaz 1800. Last we checked, the Prodains Express was the most efficient lift in the region moving the most people per hour, and Prodains holds the snow better than any other valley in Morzine.

Skiology Stories

Fabulous Chalet - Great Hosts and Location. This chalet is ideally located between the two main ski lifts of Morzine and is within walking distance of both. It is also close to the centre of the resort, shops, bars, clubs, etc. between providing everything you could need but not being too intrusive. The chalet itself is very comfortable with everything you need. For me, one of the highlights of the stay was the food: it was simply delicious and far exceeded my expectations and the chalet's previous experiences. The company (Skiology) offers an ecological and personalized approach that I appreciated. I highly recommend this chalet to everyone - suitable for friends, couples and families.

We returned from a nice ski holiday with Skiology, thanks to the warm welcome from Scott and Sarah who could not do enough for us to have a great time. The food was wonderful (thanks Scott!) The superb cakes the team worked tirelessly to make sure we had a good time. Sam did everything possible to transport us each morning to the ski lift, loading the equipment and often 6 rather noisy children in the van! Even coming back one day when we left the skis behind us! ! : / The set up was perfect the warm and cozy chalet and extra touches like Sarah's Easter egg hunt for kids! What can we say, thank you very much for a nice holiday and excellent service made special by the team. With special thanks to Sam Scott and Sarah, who have gone above and beyond to meet all our needs! - Thank you!

Fantastic location, great chalet. We had a great week in Morzine in this fantastic chalet. The location is within walking distance (3 minutes by ski boots) of the ski lifts of Super Morzine and Pleney. We would certainly go back and recommend it.

We had a great time for the Mini-Shred weekend. Great chalet, amazing food, lovely hosts and despite the snow conditions our little ones had an amazing time on the slopes. It was as good as last time and would happily book again!

Frankie and Gavin could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The food was really good and they created a friendly atmosphere with all the people who did not know each other in the first place. Very friendly and genuine.

TripAdvisor

From start to finish, it was a great experience with Skiology! Booking with Sophie, supported by James, met by Sam, the resort manager and very well received by hosts Sarah and Scott, who could not do enough for us! The Chalet was great with plenty of seating in the living room for 12 of us on very comfy couches, with comfy beds, nice showers, great hot tub and delicious food, beautifully presented and tasted even better! Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, Sarah and Scott, even treating one of our groups for a custom handmade birthday cake! The best grades! We are already booking for next year!

C.FTripAdvisor

Absolutely amazing travel made so much more enjoyable by the impeccable hosts Gav and Frankie. The facilities were fantastic, the food excellent and in a perfect setting. The decision to have meals was certainly a good decision, we will use skiology again!

Morzine FAQs

How do you get to Morzine?

The most popular way to travel to Morzine is by plane. Morzine is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes from Geneva airport and there are a range of transfers available – see below.

You can also get to Morzine by train. The Eurostar takes you into Paris where you can take the SNCF TGV that goes to Cluses or Thonon-Les-Bain. From there you can arrange a transfer to Morzine resort. Please note that the Snow Train service (which allows snow sports luggage to be carried on board) is no longer running as of Winter 2020/21 and you will not be able to carry skis/snowboard on the usual Eurostar service.

If you prefer to drive, Morzine is about a 9 hour drive from Calais if you take the toll roads. The tolls will cost around €60.

Can you recommend a ski school in Morzine/Avoriaz?

Ski lessons for our Prodain chalets : Chalets Atelier and Grand Hibou

If you are staying in our Prodain chalets that run from Sunday – Sunday (Chalets Atelier and Grand Hibou), you should take your lessons in Avoriaz as this is much closer to the chalets than Morzine.

Private ski lessons are ideal as you can request to meet at the top of the cable car. We have had previous guests recommend Evoultion2Avoriaz Alpine Ski School and Esf-avoriaz.

If you require ski school and are in our Prodain chalets be aware that you will need to find a ski school that starts on a Monday (at time of writing, this is Avoriaz Alpine Ski School and our new supplier New Generation).  There is a list of the ski schools available here.

Morzine must be one of the best know places for apres-ski in France.

From the bottom of town to the top. Dixies often has live music. Robinson’s has Mutzig on tap (very strong beer). Roger’s is the ‘in’ place at the time of writing. Cafe Chaud is a great night spot playing everything for drum and bass to grime. Tibetan is popular with guests. Coyote, Opera, the Tavern are all within inches of each other and are a great night out. Tremplin is great for apres as is neighbouring hotel the cottage. Phew!

Though you will most likely catch Dom and Steph chilling in Coupe De Coeur, or the wine cave at the Charmade or Chadanne!

What is a shared transfer?

All transfers are door to door
The maximum waiting time for a customer having met the Ski-Lifts representative in the arrivals hall is 45 minutes.
Pick up times for departures are between 3 to 4 hours before the scheduled flight departure time (3.5 to 4.5 for Avoriaz).
These rules only apply for flights between 09:00 & 21:00, outside of these times, the maximum waiting time at the airport increases to 1.5 hours and the pick up time window changes to 3 to 5 hours before the flight time (3.5 to 5.5 for Avoriaz).

All shared transfers involve sharing a vehicle with other customers who have similar flight times and are going to the same, or a nearby resort.

A Shared Transfer may involve a short amount of time waiting at the airport for other customers. The rules defining the waiting time for the different types of shared transfers are described below. However, in all cases if a flight is delayed by more than one-hour then the customer will have to wait for the next available transfer, which could be on the next day if no further shared transfers are available.

GVA Airport > Morzine
09:00 – 21:00: Maximum wait of 45 minutes
21:00 – 09:00: Maximum wait of 90 minutes

Pick-up times for departures are set by Ski-Lifts and they will send an SMS message the day before they are due to leave with their exact pick up time. If the pick up time is within the allowed time window (described below) then these are not flexible and cannot be changed – if a customer wishes to choose their pick up time, they must book a Private Transfer.

These are the different areas of Geneva Airport, where Shared Transfers are on offer this season and some of the key rules that relate to each (a full break down of Terms & Conditions can also be found at http://www.ski-lifts.com/AdditionalInformation/Terms.aspx)
