Ski lessons

Private lessons

We believe that, like with anything, 1-to-1 tuition will help you progress the quickest. You will find a list of the various ski schools on our FAQ’s page. The best slots can go quickly so book early so that you don’t end up with a lesson at 16:00 and nothing to do all day!

  • ESF is most likely to be the most cost effective. Previous guests say that Francois Baud is great for adults.
  • Easytoride has been really popular with guests and is a similar price. Antoine has come recommended by guests.
  • BillSki is really popular with guests.
  • MintSnowboarding are excellent for learning to snowboard.

Lift Passes

All ski resorts want to encourage beginners so will often offer a beginners pass. If you are booking though us, ask us for the latest details or ask at the ticket office when you buy your pass.

Avoriaz offers a real great beginners pass for around €25. It gives you access to a huge part of the ski area including

  • Cable cars : Prodains, Super-Morzine and Ardent.
  • Chairlifts : Plateau, Tour, Zore, Serraussaix, Proclou, Léchère and Dromonts 1 and 2.
  • Draglifts: Trashers, Ecoles 1 and 2, Baron, Barmettes and Chapelle.

A huge amount for a little price!

Chalets Atelier, La Roche & L’Isiere

Quick access to the snow sure pistes of Avoriaz 1800, the ‘plateau’ is a great place to learn. Quick access to the cable car and on the main bus line for if you need to pop home! La Roche and L’Isiere have got bathes for tired legs and Atelier had a hot tub!

Ski School

  • Avoriaz Alpine ski school start on the Monday so have our recommendation for La Roche and L’Isere.
  • For Atelier, ESF and start on the Sunday and meet at the top of the cable car which is perfect.

Avoriaz Alpine Ski School and Evolution 2 ski schools meet at the Plateau. To get to the Plateau one simply takes the chair lift up next to the cable car, Avoriaz Alpine Ski School have a video showing the way here!

If it is your time on snow and the chair lift does not looks like your cup of tea then we recommend taking a horse drawn cart! This was recommended to us by our guests. One simply arrives at the top of the cable car, picks up the phone in the phone box and just like calling a cab, one appears, the cost is around €10.
