Kick-starting Winter 2019/20

September 2019. For the Winter 2019/2020 season, Skiology introduces three new stunning chalets: Lanterne and Grand Hibou, both located in Prodains and minutes away from access to the Avoriaz ski area, and Chalet Apartment Le Rucher in the heart of Morzine. All chalets are the latest additions to a list of Certificate of Excellence-winning chalets in the French Alpine scene and have been refurbished just in time for the upcoming ski season.

After an exceptional 2018-2019 ski season, Skiology celebrates its 14 years in business with the highest pre season sales to date and expands the offering by upgrading to two bigger chalets and adding yet another central property in Morzine. Our successful recipe? We are extremely passionate about food, from our locally sourced ingredients to an ever evolving menu to  bring something unexpected to our guests each winter. Whilst we take incredible care of every aspect of a catered holiday, our ultimate 5-year goal is to have the smallest carbon footprint of any operator in the French Alps.

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do

Our continued commitment to provide an unequalled service for our guests grows alongside our love for the environment, not only where we operate. We want Skiology to ski all the way into the next ice age so we act as sustainably as we can. Our ideal is to run a business that leaves the world better than we found it, we are getting there slowly!
How do we do this?
To reach this goal, we proudly partnered with CoolEarth in 2011 to help the environment by off-setting carbon emissions from each chalet by up to 10 times. Cool Earth have progressed from the idea of land ownership and are now focusing on the utilisation of the land and its people however at last count we protected 1 million square feet of rainforest. This means we can directly support 2,152 indigenous people, store 3,380 tonnes of co2, keep 8,157 types of animal sheltered and protect 19 endangered species. To reach this goal, we simply offset our carbon emissions by up to 10 times to leave a positive global effect.
Endorsed by Sir David Attenborough, CoolEarth are globally recognised for their commitment to caring for our planet.
