Why choose Skiology?

What our guest say

🥇Gold goes to Skiology. Beyond expectations. Despite being impressed by the images of the chalet on the site, the real thing actually exceeded my expectations. Classy, but comfortable - gorgeous, but homely too. The lovely warm welcome by Ollie, Ash and Ed made us feel “at home” right away.

Craig.MJanuary 2025

From the first moment we have arrived, we were welcomed with smiles, food and wine! Our aim from this holiday was "let`s go to skiing holiday and stay somewhere comfortable enough" that's why we initially booked the chalet. However, no one anticipated that it was going to be this AMAZING.

Utku.CBest Experience Ever

Have stayed in lots of catered chalet in Morzine and elsewhere but this was the best experience so far. Oli, Ash and Ed were brilliant. Food each day was based on a different theme and each dish high-end restaurant quality. Oli and Ash were super helpful and nothing too much trouble.

Graeme.CThe best experience

Best skiing trip yet! The chalet was warm and inviting, with comfy rooms and great mountain views. The food went above and beyond, offering dishes for various dietary preferences. The delicious meals fuelled our skiing, and the attentive staff ensured a seamless and enjoyable stay.

Matt.MDelicious meals!

The food has surpassed our expectations, hearty dishes and accompaniments with wonderful puddings, canapés and cheeses. Good portion sizes with seconds if we wanted. We have been to many catered chalets over the past few decades but the meals here have been the best by far.

The food

We are seriously passionate about food. So we ensure every ingredient is carefully selected to bring a delicious meal to the table. We remain mindful of environmental impact whilst including all the nutritious elements you need on a ski holiday.

You can expect a wholesome breakfast with a different daily hot option, followed by afternoon tea completed by a 5-course dinner in the evening.

The drinks

Our wine selection is supplied by Paul Boyer. Paul’s natural wines come from organic or sustainable viticulture. This is why we love it so much.

We are proud to offer a unique product that is made in line with our environmental beliefs. Whilst preserving the quality and taste of a great wine.
Even better, during dinner service, Paul’s wine is served bottomless.

Signature and Luxe chalets enjoy a carefully curated wine selection, chosen by our sommelier to complement your food. We prioritise French, local and organic wines where possible, with the selection refreshed each year. Previous bottles have included Picpoul, Mâcon-Villages and Rioja.

Frequently asked questions

What is a catered chalet holiday in Morzine?

A catered chalet holiday means everything is taken care of for you. Our chalet hosts prepare breakfast, afternoon tea and a delicious, nutritious evening meal every catered evening, so all you need to think about is the mountain. We’ve been running catered chalets since 2006, across three styles: Classic, Signature and Luxe.

What meals and drinks are included?

Every catered stay includes breakfast, afternoon tea and a multi-course dinner with wine, prepared fresh by your chalet team. The offering varies a little by tier. -Luxe comes with an enhanced menu; both Luxe and Signature chalets come with an enhanced wine list and bean-to-cup coffee machines. However, good food is at the heart of every stay, whichever chalet you choose.

What's the difference between catered and self-catered chalets?

With a catered chalet, we do the cooking, cleaning and hosting so you can properly switch off. We also help organise taxis, restaurant bookings and other resort requirements if needed. Self-catered chalets give you your own fully-equipped kitchen, and full flexibility to do things your way, with support from us close at hand whenever you need it. Both are options that guests come back for; it really comes down to how hands-off you want your stay in Morzine to be.

How close are the chalets to the piste?

All of our catered chalets are within 500 metres of the piste and/or resort. Some put you within a few minutes’ walk of the lifts, so you can be on the mountain quickly and back in time for afternoon tea. If you’d like us to explain which chalets are nearest to the lifts, get in touch, and we’ll be only too happy to help.

Can you cater for dietary requirements?

Yes. Our chalet hosts are used to cooking for all sorts of dietary needs, from gluten-free and vegetarian to more specific allergies. Just let us know when you book.

What's the difference between Classic, Signature and Luxe?

Classic chalets, like Atelier and Grand Sapin, offer excellent value with everything you need for a proper catered stay in a traditional setting.

Signature chalets, including Chalet Meuniers and the Colibris, are less than 10 years old, built in a further eco-conscious way, with a few extra bells and whistles such as wine pairing and bean-to-cup coffee machines.

Luxe is our most elevated stay, with an enhanced menu and service from 3 team members rather than 2 and premium touches throughout.

All three tiers share the same warmth and care, just at different levels of indulgence. We are responsible and eco-conscious throughout all our chalets, regardless of tier.

Who are Skiology's catered chalets suited to?

Our catered chalets are especially loved by families, friends and groups travelling together. Most sleep between 10 and 15 guests, so there’s plenty of room to be sociable or find a quiet corner if you fancy it. Larger groups tend to gravitate toward Le Meunier or Le Manoir, our biggest chalets or combine the Colibris. While smaller families and groups of friends often choose Grand Sapin, or Chalet Atelier. If there are just two of you, a catered chalet can still work beautifully as part of a shared booking with others; just get in touch and we’ll help you find the right fit.
