What we have all been waiting for... the snow is coming Excited
Winter is on our doorstep and I can't wait.
Picture this a landscape of frozen alpine hills and peaks waiting
patiently for their winter blanket, so like most of mother
nature's gifts they too can hibernate for the cold winter months. It is a dark evening and a handful of lights twinkle throughout the mountain towns. One of those lights is Chalet Deux Freres. On the balcony stands a lone man wrapped up warm waiting patiently with his tongue sticking out for the first taste of winter.
I have been patiently waiting out here for the first snow for WEEKS. It has been really cold and finally the wait is over and I can come in from the balcony and join my wife for the Master Chef final. Winter is on our doorstep and I can't wait.
Last winter we all got excited about the snow coming so early and then sad when it left too early also. This winter the snow is arriving later and it is setting up to be a bumper season since the ground is extraordinarily deeply frozen (The frozen ground gives us exactly what we need for the snow to stay as long as possible, imagine placing snow on a warm stone V's on an ice cube).
