Fresh snow !
-----------------------------------------------------------------
I am typing this newsletter with my ski boots on ! You can guess
why … not a second to waste with all this new fresh snow to meet
and greet.

So should I be writing this newsletter while still super pumped
from skiing deep fresh snow all day yesterday, perhaps not
however lets go for it ☺

The big news is the snow. Snow fell for what felt like the first
time in a long time last Saturday – just in time for the U.K half
term. This for us is like a dream come true, one always hopes
that anyone coming at a premium time gets the snow they deserve
and voila the delivery came ! Wednesday night then saw a larger
than predicted amount of snow fall down all the way to the valley
floor, covering the French Alps in a fluffy duvet of snow again.
Furthermore with another 20cm forecast on Sunday night I find
myself beyond excited.

To conclude it looks like Winter is back ! Mind you no one has
been complaining about the beautiful sunny days and great on
piste conditions, it is just nice to greet fresh snow again.

More behind the scenes
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Over the past few newsletters we have been devoting a few column
inches to 'the team behind the scenes'. This month as promised is
a bit about some of the unseen suppliers that we work with (This
section might be a little short as we do as much 'in house' as we
can !).

Being a 'Foodie ski' company ( I believe we are still no.2 on
Google if you search for 'Foodie ski' ?) it is only right and
fair to mention our butcher ! Like chef Gordon Ramsay we align
ourselves with the philosophy 'Rubbish in, Rubbish out !'.
Therefore although our Butcher is a little more expensive, we
think and hope our guests agree that he is worth every penny.
Working with a local butcher is the first step in our vision of
working with as many local suppliers as we can justifiably
source. So here is a quick toast to our Butcher - Savoyard Viande
!

Now, not quite as exciting from a guests point of view, is the
fact that we out source the laundry which means nice crisp white
linen for you ! And no more living in a Chinese laundry for us !
For the first few years we did all the laundry in house and so it
is with a massive thank you that we have now passed this on to
Praz Blanchiserie and Transalpine.

I do realise that reading about Laundrette services is not quite
as exciting as reading about fresh snow however these guys are a
part of what we do and might be upset if we don't mention them !
Also while I am here, we might not be here without the valuable
services of our web team : Les http://oldtinroof.com/
[http://oldtinroof.com/] , Alex http://prettierpixels.com/
[http://prettierpixels.com/]and new to the fold Jamie from
http://pluslion.com/ [http://pluslion.com/] . Oh crikey ! And our
land lords too ! Would not be much of a catered chalet company
without the chalets !

I think we all know when one starts praising crisp white sheets
that it is time to sign off ! Off to find the crisp white snow
now – much more exciting !

-----------------------------------------------------------------
So that concludes our peak behind scenes of Skiology - a chance
to sing some un-sung praises and also concludes this newsletter !
TIme to get out there !
