Steph said yes !
Steph and Dom got engaged while at a friends wedding in Hungary
in October. Steph accepted the plasic ring with a smile which did
not last for so long as Dom explained ... well it is one month of
my salary :)
And Chalet Deux Freres only has 2 long weekends and 1 week left
available - which is also amazing news ! Deux Freres

Behind the scenes
-----------------------------------------------------------------
A recent conversation with a friend highlighted something that i
realised we had never mentioned before ... quite how lucky the
Skiology Brothers are to have such a fantastic foundation for
building a business in the hospitality sector; for example our
father is an accountant and our mother a great cook !
So i thought we would devote a few column inches or two to some
of team behind the scenes who seldom get mentioned, firstly ...
people behind the menu !
Most of us know that Skiology brother Luke
[http://www.skiology.co.uk/team-skiology/], a professional chef
and food development chef at Fortnum Masons writes the Skiology
menu every year but what about Mrs Luke ?
Rosie Smith (Lukes girlfriend, nutritionist, donor of chocolate
brownie recipe and food critic) :* Founding team member - Rosie
[http://www.skiology.co.uk/team-skiology/#Rosie] helped build
Skiology during the first years working in the chalet with us.
* Donor of Skiology signature triple chocolate brownie recipe -
Quite simply without Rosie the highly converted Skiology triple
chocolate brownies would not exist !
* Like most couples Luke and Rosie are a team and her input in to
this years menu can not go unmentioned.
Mum (inspiration, teacher and chief sales agent)* Inspiration -
Mum [http://www.skiology.co.uk/team-skiology/#Mum] is the
inspiration behind Skiology's passion for food and always makes
sure we go back to the Alps with a doggy bag and handful of
recipies to try
* Teacher - if it was not for Mum Dom might still think that you
can cook a burger in a toaster
* Chief sale agent - As years have gone by the contents of Mums
handbag have gone from wetwipes and sweeties to Skiology flyers
and business cards. Mum is hugely supportive of Skiology and lets
face facts, if Mum was not proud of what we do then we would
probably do something else !
Friends and guests (donors of more recipes). This little
interlude would not be complete without mentioning friends such
as Rosie Hoole (for her Magic carrots recipe), Michelle Rowcliffe
( for her countless veggeterian sugestions), Humphrey Broster
(pepper soup - hot water and black pepper, not on this years menu
- however thank you for the suggestion), Kelly Thompson
[http://www.skiology.co.uk/team-skiology/#kelly] (Skiology - ice
cream), Clodagh Lord
[http://www.skiology.co.uk/team-skiology/#clodagh] (countless
contributions including the difference between Reblechon and
Reblechon Fermier) and anyone guest who has ever filled in a
feedback form (every year we tally up the most popular dishes,
keep them and source new recipes to replace other dishes)
Next month we will feature our accountants ... get ready Dad !
