Les Carroz - Grand Massif
Les Carroz, in France, is linked by ski lift to Carroz's famous big brother Flaine.
Les Carroz is part of France's 4th largest ski area, the Grand Massif - only 1 hr from Geneva.
Les Carroz is a resort to fall in love with, less expensive lift passes, 265 km of skiing including the high altitude link to Flaine - 5 of our previous guests bought properties here as a result of their visit !
Les Carroz is the only village in the Massif to guarantee skiing into the village throughout the duration of the ski season. Les Carroz even has a better Les Carroz snow history better than Courchevel 1850, even though it’s at 1200m. But it’s not all about the skiing, there are plenty of things for you to do, here’s a few ideas we have for you:
Top 3 things to do in the Grand Massif
This can't be missed!
On our night off (usually Wednesday or Thursday), we can organise for you a most unique, unforgettable experience!
After a short ride in a minibus, you’ll take a beautiful sunset walk to the Teepee’s secret location. Once inside, your guide Marcel lights the fire and fondue feasting begins.
A guided torch-lit walk back to the 4x4 ties off the evening perfectly.
What a view!
Set on a frozen lake in the tranquil heart of the Gers bowl, is Le Refuge de Gers - a wonderful, lakeside restaurant. Return access to this exquisite hidden treat is strictly by piste basher!
It would be our absolute pleasure to escort you there or make the necessary reservations on your behalf.
Hot Chocolate with Cointreau!
L'Anfionne is the last pit stop on the way back to the chalets and is a great place to wait until the pistes are empty for that final run home.
Not only does it have the Skiology award for the best Vin Chaud but the hot chocolate with Cointreau is to die for; it tastes like a Terry's Chocolate Orange melting in your mouth!
It’s a recipe that has yet to be copied by any of our guests! You should try it!
Only 1 hr from Geneva makes Les Carroz perfect for ski weekends and with 265 km of pistes - perfect for traditional week long ski holidays too.
Les Carroz is the best part of The Grand Massif ski area. The Grand Massif is Frances 4th biggest ski area and the 7th largest - yet has some of Europe's quietest pistes !?
Les Carroz has just the right facilities without being too crowded and has retained a wonderful traditional French skiing resort atmosphere. Les Carroz is not famous for it's apres ski however there is a fantastic night club, some great bars (yes there is a karaoke night !) and plenty of games in the chalet.
