Don't just take our word for it, the Ski Club of Great Britain web site is the biggest British ski web site reaching 1.5 million hits last year and provides a great, positive resort guide for Les Carroz.

The weather forecast - it is a tricky one! We use an amalgamation of different sites…
First thing we do is have a look here on the ole snow-forecast.com… this is standard ski resort procedure and the site we like best. Then we have a read of what the weather is doing in Chamonix - since we are so close in distance to
To be honest the weather is so changeable often the best thing to do is for us to open the door and have a look outside so please feel free to call us or for simply check the web cams ! Watch for the dates and times though - the cameras are not unknown to freeze mysteriously when the snow looks the best.
Ski school
There are two ski schools in Les Carroz, Nouvelle Dimension and The Ecole De Ski Francais. We used to work predominantly with Nouvelle Dimension however most of the instructors who we used there have now moved to ESF - so we have too !
Travel : coming to see us
it is all about going to www.kayak.co.uk and searching for flights to Geneva, in most cases www.easyjet.com or if you book far enough in advance www.britishairways.com seem to win - however it is worth checking !

Obviously you don't have to fly ... you can take the Eurostar to Paris www.eurostar.com, then Rail Europe to Geneva www.raileurope.com it is not cheap but it is the green way to go !

Insurance
INSURANCE : if you are going to get involved with winter sports you need insurance. There are lots of companies and policies to choose from. As a general rule the Turner brother's always use Insure and Go.
The environment
YOUR FLIGHTS CO2 EMISSIONS OFF-SET BY PLANTING TREES : This site is slick, the design is awesome and easy to follow. Critics have accused the concept of the site as “green washing” i.e. it is ineffective as a concept BUT at the rate that trees are being cut down from our world’s forests surely this can’t be a bad thing. This site receives the Turner brother’s full support!
SIMILAR TO THE ABOVE SITE BUT ALL ENCOMPASSING : Carbon neutral can help to offset carbon emissions for flight, long drives, household emissions and even weddings !
THE SKI CLUB OF GREAT BRITAINS CLIMATE AWARENESS INITIATIVE : Since climate change is a reality and skiing is ultimately totally dependent on the climate - the skiclub.co.uk are selling uber cool wrist bands to raise both awareness and money for the planting of yet more trees !

Eric of Normandy Town and Country is a very nice man who brought Gonzlaes Skiology’s last van, like us he is making a living in France. Eric has a beautiful house in Normany and conducts all sorts of Normany tours including D Day tours, bike tours, painting schools, cooking classes and more. The brothers have yet to sample Eric’s hospitality however can assure that acting as character witnesses Eric would make a great host. !
